Here are a few tips to consider before making a decision:
1) Consider your theme:
There are some more obvious things you can think of for your wedding photography style, for example if you have a vintage theme to your wedding, Sepia and Black and White photos will work really well, but you might not just want Vintage photos, maybe something more classic will work for you too. If your theme is something more modern you might go for more bright colors and full color photo portfolio, but you might want some clean Black and White photos too. Be careful not too "put all your eggs in one basket" as they will say.
2) Imagine what the photos will look like when you hang them in your house.
Color isn't the only thing you need to think of with the style of photography. Ask yourself, do you want more serious photos, to express the emotion of the day or do you want more humor full photos that show the love story you and your best friend have. These things will make up the complete style of your unique wedding photos.
3) Think about what you will what to see in 30 years time.
Something that goes hand in hand with style is the important must have list of photos you want your photographer to capture for you. Think about what you want to show your children in 30 years time. For example, friend come and go but family, they stay and not forever either, so make sure the older members of your family are on that list. Memories with your mom and dad are a very important one too.
These things all play a part in making your decision with style of photography and the color ratio you want. Discuss these topics with your photographer so you know the two of you are on the same page and that they understand your taste and style well.
